Last Resort Location
If you want lodging that is close to dining, lake and river fishing, boating, and similar area attractions, we have a clean room for you! The Last Resort borders the Lakeview Corps Park, which is 1/2 mile from the main  highway. A hard surfaced public boat launch and vehicle/trailer parking area is 1/4 of a mile from our facility. There is also a public lake swimming area and a full service marina at the launch. We're also one block from a large bait and tackle shop and a convenience store with gasoline sales where you'll find lower prices for your boat fuel.

When you're ready for good meals we're a short drive from several restaurants offering everything from casual to more formal dining. We're 15 minutes from Mountain Home shopping, and 5 minutes from the city of Bull Shoals.

Our Rooms
The Last Resort has 10 rooms, available with or without kitchenettes. For groups traveling together and family reunions, two separate units can be combined into one by a connecting kitchen. Each unit has two double beds, luggage stand, color cable TV with remote, electric heat, and air conditioning. Kitchens include coffee makers, microwaves, toasters, cooking utensils, and table ware. All furnishings are clean and comfortable. Whether you come to stay for a day, a weekend, or a week, all you'll need to bring is food and fishing tackle.

Last Resort Service
Very few resorts give daily room service. Owner/operators Mike and Wendy Chapman believe in giving each customer personalized service and will do just about anything to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. The Chapman's do all the cleaning themselves because they take great pride in The Last Resort's reputation for cleanliness. The Chapman's live on premises and stay on top of all the little details needed for making your stay a pleasant one.

Fishing
Whether your sportfish of choice makes it's habitat in the lake or the river, you're close to both.
Last Resort is two miles away from fantastic trout fishing on the White River. You'll catch rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout, and a daily catch of 40 to 60 rainbow trout measuring 12 to 18 inches is common. Hire a fishing guide and try catching the Arkansas Grand Slam, which is catching four great trout species in a single day - a, rainbow trout, German brown, cutthroat, and brook  trout.

If bass are your pursuit, then you can catch largemouth, smallmouth, spotted, and white bass in Bull Shoals Lake 1/4 of a mile down the hard surfaced road. Crappie, walleye, and bream are all popular sportfish species you can catch in Bull Shoals.

Area Recreation
There are 3 18 hole golf courses within a short drive. There are several restaurants in Mountain Home and Bull Shoals, all of which are 10 to 20 minutes away. Bowling alleys, movie theaters, shopping, and craft/antique shops are within 10 to 20 minutes away.

Some of the many attractions in the area are Bull Shoals Caverns, 1890s Mountain Village, Tower of the Ozarks (an observation tower), canoeing, caverns, and the Ozark Folk Center. Branson Missouri is a scenic two hour drive away so there's plenty of time to take in a show, shop, and come back in the same day. Be sure to ask us for other ideas when you call to make your reservation.

24 hour cancellation policy without charge except on
Memorial Day,  July 4th, and Labor Day weekends when we require a
7 day notice of cancellation to avoid a full charge to you.
