Lake Recreation
Fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, and scuba diving are all popular on Bull Shoals Lake. The Red Arrow boat dock is three hundred yards down a paved road. There is a cement boat launch, a paved illuminated parking lot, and a special swimming dock all right next to our dock. And there is a private hiking trail leading from the resort down to the lake.

Cabins
Red Arrow Resort has ten separate cabins in sizes ranging from studios to three bedrooms. Cabin sizes include one 3 bedroom 1.5 bath cabin, three 2 bedroom 1 bath cabins, four medium 1 bath open room poolside studio cabins with 2 sleeping areas, and two standard studio cabins. For those planning family reunions, total resort capacity is 50 persons per night. These are "tournament ready" cabins meaning there are electrical outlets outside near parking areas which allow fishermen to charge batteries in their fishing boats.

All cabins are full housekeeping units having refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, toasters, coffeemakers, cookware, tableware, am/fm clock radios, 50+ channel color cable TV with remotes, wireless internet service, towels, and bed linens. All ranges, refrigerators, TVs, AC units, microwaves, and heaters are newer model appliances in clean working condition. Mattresses
are also new motel grade bedding. All cabins except cabin 5 are cooled by high efficiency 110vac AC wall units, cabin 5 has central electric heat and AC. Seven units have electric heat (cabins 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, & 10), the remaining three have propane heat (cabins 3, 4 & 6).

Six of the cabins (units 1-6) have lake views of the Howard Creek section of Bull Shoals Lake and the surrounding Ozark uplands. The remaining four cabins (units 7-10) face the swimming pool. Grass yards surround all units, and each cabin has a private parking spot. View cabins sit 800 feet above sea level, and the lake surface is typically about 650 feet above sea level. This 150 foot rise above the lake gives a view that makes Red Arrow very popular. Views are nice anytime, but are particularly spectacular during fall foliage, at sunset, and even in the moonlight!  The land slopes down to the lake with no drop-offs.

Red Arrow Resort is open 365 days a year. We accept month-long tenants along with our weekly and daily rentals from September 1st to March 31st of each year.

Grounds
Approximately 95 percent of our 3.5 acres is mowed lawn. Massive sycamores, hickory, oak, walnut, and mimosa trees shade all of the cabins and yards. A private nature trail leads down from the resort to the lake.

Our Polynesian brand in-ground swimming pool is 3 feet deep at the shallow end sloping to 6 feet deep at the other end. Steps at the shallow end allow easy access for seniors and small children. The Red Arrow pool enjoys a reputation with health officials as having one of the best kept and cleanest pools in the county!

A horseshoe pit, a single-hoop asphalt basketball court, swings, monkey bars and large yards give children a place to play. Two covered pavilions are popular spots for group cookouts, card games, and evening socializing.

Our store offers fishing licenses, ice cream, ice, snacks, basic sundries, tackle, bait, boat gas & oil. A coin operated washer/dryer set is available to our guests.

The boat dock is 2/10ths of a mile down the road from the resort. A paved road runs to the water's edge, ending at a hard surfaced boat ramp next to our dock. The Red Arrow dock location is a major convenience for both serious tournament fishers and tourists. Both enjoy the clean, illuminated asphalt parking area and public boat launch ramp. Those who wish to pull their boat out of the water each day may do so quickly and easily. The dock floats with good prop clearance in any water level.

The illuminated dock, which is 210 feet long and 20 feet wide, has 8 boat slips that are each 11 feet wide and 16 feet long. A fish cleaning counter with running water gives guest a convenient place to clean their day's catch. Electrical outlets at each slip allow guests to charge trolling batteries. If you prefer to trailer your boat each day, the resort is "tournament ready" meaning that each cabin has outside electrical outlets which fisherman use for charging trolling motor batteries. Red Arrow's guests enjoy fishing from the deck located at the end of the boat dock. At night they sit on the benches and fish under lights.

Fishing
There are no closed fishing seasons on Bull Shoals Lake's 45,000 acres of water, or on the nearby White River. Bull Shoals is well known for it's "tackle-busting" fish: largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, Kentucky bass, walleye, crappie, bluegill and catfish. If trout are your sportfish of choice, we're only a few minutes from the White River where it is not unusual to catch 30 to 60 rainbows 12 to 14 inches long in a day. You'll also catch brown, cutthroat, and brook trout. Trophy browns of 4 pounds or more are common catches in the White. We can arrange a guided lake or river fishing trip for you with experienced professional guides. Our tackle and bait shop is well-stocked to supply most of your fishing needs.

Located on the Howard Creek arm of Bull Shoals Lake our cove is one of the best fish-holding spots in the area. Whether fishing off our dock or in a boat, the fishing here is very good due to a channel swing with a 30' depth at one end, and a 12' depth on the other end. This formation holds fish well all year. Red Arrow's guests enjoy fishing from the deck located at the end of the boat dock. At night they sit on the benches and fish under lights.
