From I-55 at Memphis, TN:

Follow I-55 North (toward St. Louis) to Hwy. 63 North (toward Jonesboro). Follow Hwy. 63 ( past Marked Tree, Jonesboro, Hoxie, and Black Rock ) to Imboden. At Imboden, watch for Hwy. 62/412 West (toward Mountain Home).

Follow Hwy. 62/412 West (drive through Hardy, Cherokee Village, Ash Flat, Salem, Henderson, and Mountain Home. At Henderson you will cross over Lake Norfork.
Continue through Mountain Home to junction with Hwy. 5 and turn RIGHT (North). Informational icon signs will show airplane and hospital. (At the corner of Hwy. 62/412 and Hwy 5 North, there is a large Exxon gas station and a used car lot on your right.

On HWY. 5 NORTH go about 6 miles to Midway FOLLOWING HWY. 5 NORTH AS IT CURVES TO THE RIGHT TOWARD MISSOURI...(not left onto 126/178) GO ABOUT A BLOCK AFTER THE CURVE TO HWY. 178 WEST. (Also ignore the Hwy. 178 you’ll see as you come into Mountain Home...it’s the same road, but will take you way out and around)

Turn LEFT ONTO HWY. 178 WEST (toward Lakeview and Bull Shoals). Follow Hwy. 178 for THREE MILES to Nubbin Ridge Road. You will see a large Waterfront Resort billboard sign on your right directing you to turn to the resort.

Turn RIGHT onto Nubbin Ridge Road and follow Nubbin Ridge and resort signs (1.5 miles)
to the SECOND WATERFRONT CIRCLE street sign turning RIGHT at the Welcome to Waterfront Resort 300 yards –> sign. Follow to resort turning LEFT TO THE OFFICE.

We are about 4 hours from Memphis; 3 hours from Jonesboro, 1.5 hours from Hardy. Hardy is a good food stop.

Travel Tips: As you are coming through Mountain Home on Hwy. 62/412, you will pass a Walmart Supercenter on your left and two or three miles further on your left is Harps Foods (both stores are usually open all night). Both stores have a deli and bakery. You might want to stop and get groceries on your way in to save yourself a trip back into town later. Mountain Home is about 20 minutes from us. There are also several fast food places in Mtn. Home right along Hwy. 62/412.

Take I-44 West (the road sign says, to Tulsa) out of St. Louis to Rolla, MO. At Rolla, MO, take Hwy. 63 South to Cabool, MO. Rolla is a good gas stop and also has a quick in/out service Denny’s right on the highway. Rolla is 3 hours from us.

In Cabool, Mo. take Hwy. 60 West ( NOT Hwy.160)  to the Mansfield/Hwy. 5 South Exit.

Hwy. 60 is a two-lane divided highway.

Exit Hwy. 60 at Mansfield/Hwy. 5 S and follow Highway 5 South all the way (through Mansfield, Ava, and Gainsville) down across the Missouri/Arkansas border to Midway, AR.


At Midway, AR, turn RIGHT onto Hwy. 178 (toward Bull Shoals & Lakeview). Follow Hwy. 178 for THREE MILES to Nubbin Ridge Road. At Nubbin Ridge you will see on your right a large billboard sign for Waterfront Resort directing you to turn RIGHT onto Nubbin Ridge. Follow Waterfront Resort signs down Nubbin Ridge road (1.5 miles)
to the SECOND WATERFRONT CIRCLE street sign turning RIGHT at the Welcome to Waterfront Resort 300 Yards –> sign. Follow to the resort, turning left to the office.

Travel Tips: Mansfield is home to a Laura Ingles Wilder home & museum (about a 1.5 hour tour). Ava is a good gas stop and also has a quick service McDonalds at the same corner. Note: Ava is also recognized by many of us for their highly efficient and watchful police force patrolling the highways on the approach and departure from Ava. Ava is 1 hour from us. If you have your lunch along with you in the car, watch for the rest area on your right not very far along Hwy. 5 out of Mansfield. It is very small and is along a creek with picnic tables (no restrooms) and is cool & shady.

Take I-30 N/E toward Texarkana, Arkansas. Follow I-30 toward Little Rock to the 430 Bypass North/West (toward N. Little Rock, Conway, and Russellville).

Take 430 around Little Rock to I-40 (toward Conway & Russellville). Follow I-40 to Hwy. 65N in Conway.

Follow Hwy. 65N to Hwy. 235 about 5 miles out of St. Joe. Watch on your right for small regular highway sign indicating Hwy. 235. Turn RIGHT onto Hwy. 235 and follow to Yellville.

In Yellville, turn LEFT onto Hwy. 14 (just a short jog about 2 miles distance) to the junction with Hwy. 62/412 E toward Mountain Home.
Follow Hwy. 62/412E to Flippin exit turning off LEFT toward Hwy. 178.   Continue past the Walmart Supercenter to the stop sign. Go straight from the stop sign and cross the railroad tracks onto Hwy. 178 toward Bull Shoals.

Follow Hwy. 178 through the city of Bull Shoals and across the top of Bull Shoals Dam. Continue to follow Hwy. 178 as it curves LEFT off of the dam for about 4.5 miles to Nubbin Ridge Road. On your left you will see a large Waterfront Resort billboard sign.

Turn LEFT onto NUBBIN RIDGE RD. following resort signs (1.5 miles) down the hill to the

Welcome to Waterfront Resort 300 yards –> sign, and turn right onto Waterfront Circle. Follow to the resort turning LEFT to the office.

Dallas is about 8 hours from us. Conway about 3 hrs from us. Yellville about 40 minutes from us. Bull Shoals about 10 minutes from us.


Travel Tip: A Harps Food store will be on your left in Bull Shoals if you want to stop for groceries on your way in to save yourself a trip. They are open until 9 pm.

Take I-44 East to Hwy. 412 East.  Follow Hwy. 412 East to the Cherokee Turnpike (there is no gas stop on Turnpike) and back onto Hwy. 412 East following it into Arkansas (passing through Siloam Springs, Springdale, Harrison, and Yellville) all the way to the Flippin exit turning off LEFT toward Hwy. 178.  Continue past the Walmart Supercenter to the stop sign.  Go straight from the stop sign and cross the railroad tacks onto Hwy. 178 toward Bull Shoals.


Follow Hwy. 178 through the city of Bull Shoals and across the top of Bull Shoals Dam. Continue to follow Hwy. 178 as it curves LEFT off of the dam for about 4.5 miles to Nubbin Ridge Road. (On your left you will see a large Waterfront Resort sign)

Turn LEFT onto NUBBIN RIDGE RD following resort signs (1.5 miles) down the hill to the

Welcome to Waterfront Resort 300 yards –> sign and follow to the resort turning in LEFT to the office.

Tulsa is about 4 - 4.5 hours from us. Harrison has plenty of food stops and gas stations and is 1 hour from us. Gasoline prices increase along the way to our area. Bull Shoals is about 15 minutes from us.

Take Hwy. 60 East ( I-44 E to Hwy. 65 S to Hwy. 60 East exit toward Cabool) to the HWY. 5 SOUTH at the MANSFIELD EXIT.

Turn RIGHT at the exit ramp stop sign onto Hwy. 5 South. Follow Hwy. 5 South down into Arkansas (through Mansfield, Ava, Gainesville) to HWY. 178 WEST IN MIDWAY, AR.

Turn RIGHT onto Hwy. 178 West (toward Bull Shoals & Lakeview) and go about 3 miles to NUBBIN RIDGE ROAD.

(On your right you will see a large billboard sign for Waterfront Resort).

TURN RIGHT onto NUBBIN RIDGE ROAD and follow resort signs

(1.5 miles) to the bottom of the hill and TURN RIGHT at the Welcome to Waterfront Resort 300 Yards –> sign. Follow to resort turning in left to the office.

Travel Tips: Springfield, MO is 2 hours from us. Ava, MO is 1 hour from us. There are plenty of places to eat along your way in Springfield as well as a McDonald’s with quick service in Ava. While on Hwy. 60 E (4 lane divided highway) watch for a buffalo herd on the left about 20 minutes out of Springfield. Mansfield, MO is home to Laura Ingalls Wilder (Little House on the Prairie) house and museum - about an 1.5 hour tour. Ava, MO is a good gas stop and also has a quick service McDonalds at the same corner. NOTE: Ava is also recognized by many of us for their highly efficient and watchful police force patrolling the highways both on the approach and departure from Ava.
